is one of the premier dance studios in Pinellas County. We offer quality dance instruction for pre-professional and recreational students in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, lyrical, clogging and pre-school classes. We believe that a child’s self-esteem, coordination, and poise are enhanced through the art of dance. We encourage personal growth and creative expression while emphasizing proper technique. Our goal is to promote a positive self-image by focusing on the following: confidence, respect for self as well as others, coordination, following directions, concentration, creative thinking, achieving goals, social graces and responsibility.

HISTORY

The Tutterow Dancers have been a part of the Largo Recreation, Parks and Arts Department since 1976. The dance program began under the direction of Gayle and Phyllis Tutterow. With their great passion for dance, they developed the program into a successful studio where both children and adults learn the art of dance.

Their legacy continues under the direction of Debbie Kennedy, both a former student and Assistant Director for the Tutterows. Mrs. Kennedy has been excited to be able to share the same passion for dance that Gayle and Phyllis had for so many years. Debbie has been the Director now for nine dance seasons. Her continued efforts and dedication to this dance program have allowed the studio continued success in teaching a love of dance. The Largo Recreation Parks and Arts Department is delighted to have Mrs. Kennedy provide such a wonderful dance education program.
